Free movement of goods, and the customs
In October 2024, the overall progress score in this area slightly declined, reaching 1.33 points compared to 1.55 in September. Importantly, the score remains generally positive. The decrease in the score could be attributed to the absence of newly registered draft legislative acts and a somewhat less optimistic assessment of already approved regulations.
Specifically, the “Actual Legislative Changes” component dropped from 1.55 in September to 1.36 in October, though it remained positive. The “Planned Legislative Changes” component saw a significant decline, falling from 0.91 in September to 0 in October.
At the same time, the “Agenda Setting” score improved from 1.47 points in September to 1.95 in October. The “Implementation Status” score remained relatively stable, with a slight decline from 1.3 points in September to 1.25 points in October.
The minor decrease in progress scores across most components of the sphere led to a slight drop in the overall rating for October 2024 compared to the previous month. However, this did not impact the general positive assessment of progress in the area.
